Sprinker Recreation Center: Spray Park, Playground, and Plaza Furnishings
Tacoma, WA October 24, 2024
We are excited to be part of the Sprinker Recreation Center Improvements, a project bringing new life to this cherished community space. Phase 1 incorporated our Plaza Collection site furnishings, designed to offer functionality, comfort, and accessibility for all visitors. Now featuring a regional spray park and nature-based playground for kids of all ages and abilities, the park provides a more inclusive and engaging experience for everyone.
Our contribution included many Plaza Collection steel strap picnic tables—with ADA versions for accessibility—providing welcoming spots for group gatherings. Additionally, ten Plaza Village Benches were installed throughout the park to offer restful areas for visitors. Keeping the park clean and inviting is made easy by placing over 20 Plaza Collection trash receptacles.
This project was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Pease Construction (General Contractor, Lakewood, WA) and the creative touch of RWD Landscape Architects, who designed a space that blends beauty with practicality.
We are proud to have played a role in creating a vibrant and inclusive park that will serve as a gathering space for years to come. Through thoughtful design and high-quality furnishings, Sprinker Recreation Park now offers a more enjoyable and accessible experience for the entire community. The Sprinker Recreation Center is part of the Pierce County Parks and Recreation Improvements.
