Elevating Main Street: Planters in West Bend
West Bend, WI
Just 30 minutes north of Milwaukee, along the Milwaukee River, the City of West Bend, WI, is known for its historic charm, walkable downtown area, and award-winning parks. As part of its ongoing beautification efforts, the city collaborated with designers from Graef USA, who selected Tournesol’s products to enhance and revitalize its vibrant Main Street and public spaces.
Graef chose our Paso Circular Planter Bench and the Wilshire Collection, featuring a mix of round, square, and rectangular planters, along with sleek toe kicks that provide a modern, elevated look. The planters were fabricated in lightweight GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) in the finish—Shadow in Acid Etch texture—including the planter bench, along with thermally modified wood. The design increased visual interest while complementing the city’s streetscape, charm, and community.
Each planter is also fitted with Tournesol’s Modular Container Irrigation System to support healthy plant growth and reduce maintenance. Together, these elements create inviting, green-forward spaces that reflect West Bend’s commitment to thoughtful, community-focused design.
