New Montara Platforms, Planters & Water Features!

This year’s ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture brought the landscape architecture community together in vibrant New Orleans, and Tournesol was proud to be part of the excitement once again.

At our booth, we showcased the Montara Collection — a sculptural series of platforms, planters, benches, and water features crafted from GFRC and thermally modified wood. The collection reflects our commitment to durable, sustainable materials and timeless design for outdoor spaces.

Montara Collection

Inspired by the serene and majestic coastline of Northern California, the Montara Collection reinterprets mid-century organic form with sculptural elegance and durability. Gentle curves, bubbling water features, scalable benches, and planters bring harmony to outdoor destinations in retail, hospitality, and beyond.

Two-Tone Planters

We also debuted our striking new Two-Tone Planters, featuring the Two-Tone Urban and Two-Tone Bolinas models, each blending materials and finishes to create visual contrast and architectural interest. Complementing these introductions were favorites from our product lineup, including the Camino Illuminated Bench Collection, the Wilshire Aluminum Planter, and the Willard Bar Counter, a sleek mix of powder-coated steel and thermally modified wood.

Proud Sponsor of ASLA 2025 Game Changers

For the third consecutive year, Tournesol proudly sponsored the ASLA Game Changers competition, a fast-paced series of 10-minute presentations highlighting innovative ideas that align with the ASLA Climate Action Plan. Annette Contreras Buenrostro, Assoc. ASLA, Curtis and Rogers Design Studio, presenting Rooted in Culture, Guided by Science: Landscape Architecture for Environmental Justice was awarded the winning prize. The two runners-up were Clara Jimenez, Student ASLA, CSRS Inc., and James Barnes, Student ASLA, North Carolina State University. The 9 finalists shared compelling presentations that showcased how creativity and measurable action can drive meaningful change in our field. We’re honored to help provide a platform for these bold thinkers to share their ideas with the broader landscape architecture community and advance their professional journeys.

And of course, no Tournesol booth would be complete without a touch of sunshine. Visitors stopped by to pick up our signature sunflower seed packets—a nod to our name, Tournesol, which means sunflower in French—as well as gardening sleeves and handmade soaps infused with natural plant oils and blossoms.

The event flowed with great conversations and reconnections. We were thrilled to see so many longtime friends and partners from across the landscape architecture community, and to make new connections that will help us continue growing together.

Looking Ahead

ASLA 2025 reminded us why we do what we do: to create products that empower designers to shape spaces where people and nature thrive together. We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by to share ideas, stories, and smiles with us in New Orleans, and we can’t wait to see you next year at ASLA 2026 in Los Angeles.

Plant it for the planet. Grow good.
