Sustainable Solutions at Arsenal Yards

In Watertown, MA, the Arsenal is a mixed-use retail, dining, and entertainment complex with outdoor spaces. The developers prioritized sustainability and biophilic design, seeking innovative solutions to incorporate greenery. 

Part of this project includes a large parking structure facility, with Greenscreen® Trellises mounted vertically to enhance aesthetics and environmental benefits. By incorporating trellises to enrich the outdoor space, the plantings and greenery help mitigate the urban heat island effect and improve energy efficiency.

The plants and vines surrounding the parking structure will continue to grow in and fill the integrated trellises. Solving parking needs, and providing an inviting and healthy urban atmosphere, align with their sustainability goals of abundant open space throughout the project's environment.
